CREATING AN EFFECTIVE WEBSITE

Description: A guide to the issues involved in making sure that you plan a professional and easy to use website, suitable for your target audience.  Using CoffeeCup software, an easy to use, low cost web editing package the course will show you how to create a multi-page website to get you started on the web.

INTRODUCTION TO DREAMWEAVER

Date: 17th & 24th November 2008

Description: An introductory overview of using Dreamweaver to create a 4-page website using Studio 8 - industry standard software. Suitable for those with good computer skills and some knowledge of web design. 

FAST TRACK DIGITAL MARKETING

Date: 21st - 22nd October 2008

Description: This practical course is designed to help you understand why online is so important, and how you can use the major channels to improve your customer communications. The course is specifically aimed at marketers with existing experience of offline channels but little or no exposure to online marketing channels. You will be comfortable with the basic principles behind good marketing communications and are likely to have had over 2 years’ practical experience.

USING CASCADING STYLE SHEETS FOR WEB DESIGN

Description: This is a design-led course and you'll look at good design practice as well as effective production techniques, along with the tricks and hacks to bring your projects up to Web 2.0 standards.  Although the class will be taught on Dreamweaver, the tutor is happy for you to use a basic text editor instead. It is aimed at designers, artists and web developers who have some basic experience with web publishing and HTML.  Knowledge of Dreamweaver, Illustrator or Photoshop would be a bonus.

INTRODUCTION TO MACROMEDIA DREAMWEAVER

Date: 2nd - 3rd February 2009, 8th - 9th June 2009

Description: Dreamweaver is the most widely used software tool for creating websites. The course will teach you how to master the program. You will gain an understanding of how to set up a website and create pages using HTML. As long as you're familiar with the Internet and Microsoft Windows, you should cope well with the content of this course. 

ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS

Date: 16th - 17th December 2008, 6th - 7th May 2009

Description: An introduction to broadcast and video design, using After Effects as an animation and special effects tool.Aimed at film-makers and animators, as well as graphic and web designers. Anyone, in fact, who wants to add animated elements or special effects to video or moving images. Basic familiarity with Illustrator and Photoshop on Apple Mac is expected.
